RE: Withdrawal of Appeal Re Sequoia Commerce Center
Dear Mayor Chen, Mayor Pro Tem Mattucci, Honorable Councilmembers, Mr. Oorts, and Ms.
Poirier:
I am writing on behalf of Supporters Alliance for Environmental Responsibility (“SAFER”) to withdraw SAFER’s May 8, 2025 appeal of the Planning Commission’s decision regarding the Sequoia Commerce Center located at the cross streets of Van Ness Avenue and W. 190 Street on Assessor Parcel Numbers 7352-016-001 through -003 in the City of Torrance (“Project”).
SAFER is pleased to announce that they have reached an agreement with the Developer to resolve the environmental issues raised in their appeal. Pursuant to the agreement, the Developer has agreed to implement additional measures to further protect the environment. SAFER therefore withdraws its May 8, 2025 appeal and has no objection to the Project.
Sincerely,
Rebecca L. Davis
