RECOMMENDATION
Recommendation of the Community Services Director that the City Council approve the proposed Library Commission Rotational Meeting Schedule for the 2025-2026 Fiscal Year.

None required.
DISCUSSION
Each year, the Library Commission meetings are scheduled to meet at the Torrance Public Library’s six library locations. These meetings offer Commissioners the opportunity to visit the locations and meet staff while still conducting Commission business.
At their August meeting, Library Commissioners considered the staff’s proposal for the following schedule:
Katy Geissert Civic Center Library – October 13 (with building tour) El Retiro Library – November 10
Southeast Library – December 8
Henderson Library – January 1
North Torrance Library – February 9
Walteria Library – March 9
Each meeting begins with a brief operational overview by staff. The start time of each meeting remains 6:00pm. The Commission meetings do not interfere with normal Library operations or patron experience.
