The only real way to eliminate homelessness is to make housing accessible.
To do this, the city should make an active effort to take it upon itself to engage in policies that promote affordable housing, accessibility, and the resources to maintain the policies that have already been set to help alleviate the burden of poverty.
The lack of these resources don’t just hurt those effected, but our entire society as a whole. The less of a burden that the threat of not having to struggle for basic needs, the better we can be, and the better we can focus on making real improvements. 1
