RESOLUTION NO. 2026-21
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TORRANCE SETTING FORTH THE HOURS, WAGES AND
WORKING CONDITIONS FOR CERTAIN FULL-TIME
SALARIED AND HOU RLY EMPLOYEES BEGINNING
FEBRUARY 22, 2026 AND REPEALING RESOLUTION
NO. 2024-69
The City Council of the City of Torrance does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION I
That Resolution No. 2024-69 and all previous Resolutions are hereby repealed in their entirety.
SECTION II
This Resolution provides compensation procedures for employees who are in job titles not currently represented by a designated employee organization and is hereby approved in its entirety to read as follows:
CERTAIN FULL-TIME SALARIED AND HOURLY EMPLOYEES
ARTICLE 1 -COMPENSATION
SECTION 1.1 PAY RANGES AND CLASS TITLES
A.The pay grades described below are hereby assigned to the classifications of the following Certain Full-Time Salaried and Hourly Employees.
B.For Area G Executive Director: The annual salary raise for the position of Area G .Executive Director is determined by SBCCOG (South Bay City Managers' Association) in June of each year.
Effective September 8, 2024
The following listing outlines the crosswalk required to implement the salary grids effective the above date:
•Ambulance Operator: Employees will crosswalk down two steps (i.e. employees on step 3* will be placed at step 1) and any employees on step 1 * or 2* will be placed on step 1. •Staff Assistant: Employees will crosswalk down two steps (i.e. employees on step 3* will be placed at step 1) and any employees on step 1 * or 2* will be placed on step 1. •Indicates that the step number is referring to the salary grid prior to September 8, 2024.
