RESOLUTION NO. 2026-70
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF TORRANCE, CALIFORNIA, HONORING TREASURER
TIM GOODRICH FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF DEDICATED
SERVICE TO THE COMMUNITY
WHEREAS, Tim Goodrich was first elected to the Torrance City Council on June 3, 2014, and re-elected on June 5, 2018. After serving as a councilmember, he was then elected to as City Treasurer on June 7, 2022; and
WHEREAS, he has dedicated his professional life to public service and leadership, serving in the United States Air Force and building a successful career in commercial insurance and risk management; and
WHEREAS, his dedication to public service has extended beyond his professional career , having volunteered as a member of the Torrance Unified School District Citizen Oversight Committee, Torrance Education Foundation, Torrance Sister City Association and for both the Torrance Police and Fire Department; and WHEREAS, following years of dedicated community service , Treasurer Goodrich became an elected member of the Torrance City Council, serving as Chair of the Finance Governmental Operations Committee and Citizen Development and Enrichment Committee and as a committee member for the Strategic Plan Committee and Community Planning and Design Committee; and
WHEREAS, as a councilmember he advocated for policies that promoted innovation, environmental sustainability, emergency preparedness, and economic growth. He supported the development of enhanced emergency preparedness programs, advanced efforts to wards attracting technology-based businesses to Torrance, and played an active role in the Downtown Torrance Revitalization Initiative , helping strengthen the area as a destination for residents, visitors, and businesses; and
WHEREAS, as City Treasurer, he worked to ensure responsible spending of public funds through sound investment practices and careful financial oversight. His commitment to accountability, integrity, and fiscal responsibility has helped safeguard City resources and maintain public trust; and WHEREAS, Treasurer Goodrich has dedicated 12 years to the City of Torrance , both as a Councilmember and City Treasurer, consistently working to address the needs and concerns of residents. His continuous leadership and dedication has left a lasting impact on the City and residents.

1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Torrance, does herby commend and honor
TREASURER TIM GOODRICH
for his many years of dedicated service to the community.
