DISCUSSION
On June 5th, the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce submitted a special event application to host a Pakistan Independence Day Celebration this August. Commemorating the country’s rich history and uniting the Pakistani community in a spirit of pride and patriotism. This event will pay tribute to their forefathers and provide a vibrant platform for attendees to come together and celebrate Pakistan’s heritage through cultural showcases, traditional food, arts and crafts, music, and performances. This is a free event that is open to all members of the community. The goal is to create an inclusive and engaging experience that fosters community connection while honoring this significant national day. The Special Events Team and representatives from the Pakistan Chamber of Commerce held meetings to assess the full scope of the event. The event will officially take place on Saturday August 8, with set-up occurring on Friday, August 7 and break down Sunday, August 9. Additionally, security services will be provided during all event hours by private security, with the cost covered by the applicant.
