BACKGROUND

• August 29, 2025: Letters were sent out, notifying immediate surrounding neighbors that the property owners of 439 Via Linda Vista have filed an application for a Minor Hillside Exemption (MHE).
Correspondence was received and a staff report was created. • October 29th, 2025: An administrative staff report was signed and approved. This report was denied and was scheduled to go to Planning Commission.
• January 21, 2026: MHE25-00051 was presented to the Planning Commission. The project was denied.
• February 18, 2026: A Resolution of Denial was adopted 7-0. • March 3, 2026: Samuel and Maria Gong (Homeowners) filed an appeal. - The Plans Contain a Roof Plan
- Project is Compatible with Existing Neighborhood
- City Council is to not consider the ADU.
