DISCUSSION
At the August 20, 2026 Citizen Development and Enrichment Committee Meeting, the Committee requested staff to collect feedback on the proposed Airport Logo Concepts. Feedback was gathered between August 24, 2026 and September 08, 2026, focusing on engagement metrics and sentiment analysis. Below are the findings.

To: Honorable Torrance City Council
Subject: Potential Logo Concepts for Torrance Municipal Airport Zamperini Field Interesting 2 choices for a new logo for the Torrance Municipal Airport Zamperini Field.
While I'm not sure what exactly the historical connection to aviation in Torrance the P-38 provides, I'm certain that either Zamperini's B-24 or the T-33 on display in front of the Airport Meeting Room might be better choices for the logo. (See examples below.) Otherwise, I suggest another approach featuring the IATA / FAA LID: TOA location identifier for the Torrance Municipal Airport / Zamperini Field.
In the center of the “O” of TOA, a graphic representation of local sports and war hero Louis Zamperini, in either his military dress uniform hat or his famous flight gear pose. (See examples below. Note: grey circle framing for “Profile Pic” reference only, not part of actual logo design.)
