Dear Gabriel Adams, Interim City Manager:

Thank you for your outstanding and professional Staff Report for this month’s August 9th City Council meeting. This is the first time I've read such an informative and detailed City Manager’s Staff Report.

As you are aware, not everyone has the time to attend the City Council meetings or watch the videos, therefore many members of the public depend on the Staff Report, Minutes and Supplemental Packet to obtain important information about our community.

In addition, I greatly appreciate your effective summary of my public comments made regarding Trinidad’s water and trails issues in the June 10th City Council Minutes.

I wish you were Trinidad’s permanent City Manager.

Sincerely,
Anita Thompson
Trinidad Resident

Hi Gabe,
Please accept this email as my public comment on the above agenda item and forward my comments to the City Council for consideration.

Thank you, Kim Tays
_________________________________________________________________________ Dear City Council:

While I no longer live in Trinidad, I continue to care about the character and charm of Trinidad, as I called it home for nearly 12 years.

When I first saw the safety improvements on Edwards Street at the cross street of Hector, I was shocked that this design would even be considered in Trinidad because of the impacts to the scenic views. The striping and tall, blinking signage is completely out of character and detracts terribly from the town’s amazing coastal setting.

Please select the option that does the most to reverse the impacts of these terribly unsightly and excessive urbanized street “improvements.”
Thank you for considering my opinion on this issue.
