7.3 In the years since our family moved to Truckee in 1987, we have always strived to support endeavors that would improve and enhance the community that we raised our son in. As we look forward to the lives of all the children, grandchildren, grandparents and extended family that will be lucky enough to call Truckee home, the incredible attributes of this proposed new state-of-the- art library will provide a place to learn, a place to gather, a place to connect via internet that may not be available at home, a place for teens . . . so much to benefit our local community and to be enriching the lives of our future leaders.
I hope that you will vote to approve this new library to replace what has become outdated and much too small to serve our growing community.
