The pump stations will be discussed as two stand-alone elements that accommodate the gravity flows into the wet well chamber and discharges against the total dynamic head of the outfalls. Pump selection criteria will be based on submersible centrifugal pumps operated through a standard four-float control.

We assume that submersible centrifugal pumps with a rail-type installation mounts will be used.

The first pump station is anticipated to have a peak flow of up to 22 cfs and static head of approximately 33 ft. The second pump station is anticipated to have a peak flow of up to 50 cfs and static head of approximately 11 ft. The design will be performed per Caltrans pump design criteria.
