PROACTIVE ENFORCEMENT
June 20, 2025 - July 4, 2025
Confiscated Fireworks
Four (4) 55-gallon drums
filled with 200 pounds of
illegal and dangerous
fireworks were seized.

RECOMMENDATIONS FOR 2026
Continue fireworks education prior to the Fourth of July.

Continue assigning unmarked vehicles in each zone for all special enforcement shifts related to the 4th of July.

Continue encouraging and training Patrol to assist with Administrative Citations.

Dispatch should continue to use UCPD’s Main Channel for patrol and special enforcement. The stacking calls system requires an MDC, which the unmarked vehicles were not equipped with.

Begin special enforcement shifts 2 weeks prior to the Fourth of July.

Continue to set expectations that special enforcement units stay busy with EPC's, security checks, and general proactivity if fireworks activity is not occurring.

Continue deploying a CSA with all fire apparatus assigned to the detail for crowd and traffic control during ACFD incidents.
