PROCLAMATION
Recognizing Participating Businesses in
Manufacturing Day 2025
WHEREAS, Manufacturing Day is an annual national event that celebrates the important role manufacturers play in strengthening local economies and inspiring the next generation of makers and innovators; and
WHEREAS, the City of Union City is proud to partner with the New Haven Unified School District and local businesses to offer students hands-on experiences that highlight careers in modern manufacturing; and
WHEREAS, this year’s Manufacturing Day 2025 participants — Mizuho OSI, GCM Precision Manufacturing, FANUC America, and Outform — opened their facilities to students and educators, demonstrating advanced technologies and the many pathways available in the manufacturing sector; and
WHEREAS, these businesses have shown their commitment to community engagement and workforce development by investing time and resources to inspire youth, expand awareness of manufacturing careers, and strengthen Union City’s economy; and WHEREAS, through their participation, these companies exemplify the spirit of collaboration that makes Union City a hub of innovation and opportunity.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Gary Singh, Mayor of the City of Union City, together with the entire City Council, do hereby recognize and commend
