RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNION CITY
APPROVING THE NEWLY ESTABLISHED CLASSIFICATION OF
SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS INSPECTOR AND UPDATING
THE CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN TO INCLUDE THE
CLASSIFICATION OF SENIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PROGRAMS
INSPECTOR
WHEREAS, the City has undertaken an inquiry and recommends that the City Council approve the newly established classification of Senior Environmental Programs Inspector and update the classification and compensation plan to include the classification of Senior Environmental Programs Inspector; and WHEREAS, City staff has undertaken an analysis of necessary updates to the classification and compensation plan to establish the class specification for the classification of Senior Environmental Programs Inspector; and WHEREAS, the City Council has identified in the Strategic Plan Goal B, Governance and Organization Effectiveness to align critical city services with current staffing levels by ensuring the accuracy and clarity for the classification of Senior Environmental Programs Inspector.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Union City hereby approves the establishment of the classification of Senior Environmental Programs Inspector, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, effective December 9, 2025.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Union City hereby authorizes the City Manager to take such further actions as may be necessary to implement the proposed establishment of the class specification and salary of Senior Environmental Programs Inspector.
