RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XXX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNION CITY
ADOPTING THE COUNCIL ASSIGNMENTS TO VARIOUS BOARDS,
COMMISSIONS, AND SUBCOMMITTEES FOR THE CALENDAR YEAR
2026
WHEREAS, the City of Union City annually updates the assignments of City Councilmembers to various regional boards, commissions, and internal subcommittees to ensure active participation and representation of the City’s interests; and WHEREAS, pursuant to Government Code section 40605, the Mayor, with the approval of the City Council, makes the assignments to these boards, commissions, and subcommittees; and
WHEREAS, the proposed roster for calendar year 2026 reflects the updated composition of the City Council and ensures balanced representation and workload distribution among its members; and
WHEREAS, the Council has reviewed and considered the proposed assignments as detailed in the December 9, 2025, staff report and finds that they align with the City’s priorities and Strategic Plan Goal E: Communication and Outreach.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Union City as follows:
1. The Council approves the Mayor’s appointments and adopts the updated roster of assignments to various boards, commissions, and subcommittees for calendar year 2026, as outlined in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated by reference.
2. The City Clerk is directed to distribute the updated assignments to all relevant agencies and City staff.
