RESOLUTION NO. 2025-XXX
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
A CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT, IN A FORM APPROVED BY
THE CITY ATTORNEY, BETWEEN THE CITY OF UNION CITY AND
DOUGLAS HERRING & ASSOCIATES, FOR CEQA MITIGATION
MONITORING SERVICES FOR THE LAZULI LANDING PROJECT, IN
AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $82,573
WHEREAS, the applicant, MidPen Housing Corporation (MidPen), has received approvals for the Lazuli Landing Project (Project) for 81 dwelling units located on 1.65 acres between Mission Boulevard, Second Street, D Street, and E Street (APNs: 486-3- 29, 486-3-28, 486-3-30, 486-3-35, 486-3-34-3, 486-3-34-4); and WHEREAS, the Project approvals include a Mitigated Negative Declaration and Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Program (MMRP) prepared pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA); and
WHEREAS, staff is bringing on a consultant, Douglas Herring & Associates, to provide mitigation monitoring services necessary to satisfy the requirements of the MMRP; and
WHEREAS, the scope of work, labeled Exhibit A, is attached hereto and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the scope-of-work budget is not to exceed $82,573 and will be paid by MidPen.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Union City hereby authorizes the City Manager to enter into a consulting services agreement, in a form approved by the City Attorney, with Douglas Herring & Associates, for CEQA mitigation monitoring services for the Lazuli Landing Project, in an amount not to exceed $82,573.
