PROCLAMATION
In Recognition of Carlos Casasola,
2025 General Services Employee of the Year
WHEREAS, Carlos Casasola began his service with the City of Union City in 2021 as a contractor in the Information Technology Services Department and was appointed as a full-time Technical Support Specialist II in 2022; and
WHEREAS, in his current role, Carlos provides first-level technical support, assists with production infrastructure in a multi-platform environment, leads information technology upgrades, resolves complex software, hardware, and network issues, and works directly with City staff to meet their technical needs; and
WHEREAS, Carlos was nominated by his peers for his steady “can-do” attitude, his commitment to prioritizing the needs of the organization and others, his pride in doing things the right way, and his embodiment of the City’s core values; and
WHEREAS, Carlos’s contributions extend beyond the workplace through his support of public meetings and employee events, his volunteer efforts with staff and community groups, and his ability to build genuine connections across all City locations and departments; and
WHEREAS, these nominations highlight Carlos’s customer-first approach, kindness toward others, and the positive and lasting impact one individual can have on an entire organization.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Gary Singh, Mayor of the City of Union City, on behalf of the entire City Council, do hereby express our sincere appreciation to Carlos Casasola for his outstanding service to the City of Union City and extend our congratulations on his recognition as the 2025 General Services Employee of the Year.
