RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNION CITY
APPROVING THE RENEWAL OF A MICROSOFT ENTERPRISE
AGREEMENT WITH SOFTCHOICE CORPORATION, INC. AND
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, City staff wishes to renew the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement with Softchoice Corporation, Inc. for a three-year term; and WHEREAS, the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement licenses the City’s use of the Office 365 cloud tenant platform for 342 users and the on-premise use of the Microsoft operating systems and software specified in the Agreement; and WHEREAS, the contracted services will continue until January 31, 2029; and WHEREAS, the FY 2025-2026 budget contains sufficient appropriations to cover the annual cost of $173,867.84; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends that the City Council approve the renewal of the Microsoft Enterprise Agreement with Softchoice Corporation, Inc., for a three-year term, in a not-to-exceed aggregate sum of $521,603.52, and authorize the City Manager to execute the Agreement in a form approved by the City Attorney.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Union City hereby approves the renewal of a Microsoft Enterprise Agreement with Softchoice Corporation, Inc., for a three-year term, in a not-to-exceed aggregate sum of $521,603.52 and hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the Agreement in a form approved by the City Attorney.
