RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNION CITY
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT
WITH RUSH TRUCK CENTER TO PURCHASE ONE (1) REPLACEMENT
VEHICLE, IN THE AMOUNT OF $76,000
WHEREAS, one (1) vehicle in the Public Works Department is due for replacement due to its age and mileage; and
WHEREAS, the vehicle purchase will be under a Sourcewell cooperative agreement government purchasing contract through Rush Truck Center, Ceres, in the amount of $76,000; and
WHEREAS, the vehicle to be replaced has been presented to the City Council and will be declared surplus upon purchasing the replacement vehicles, with the surplus vehicle being disposed of in accordance with the provisions of the City’s Municipal Code Section 2.32.130
; and
WHEREAS, proceeds from the disposal of the surplus vehicle, if any, will be credited to the Fleet Equipment Acquisition Fund (Fund 613-35004).
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Union City hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute a contract with Rush Truck Center to purchase a recommended replacement vehicle, 2025 Ford F-250 truck, in the amount of $76,000; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Union City hereby declares the vehicle being replaced be taken out of service, declared surplus and disposed of in accordance with the provisions of the City’s Municipal Code Section
2.32.130, and that the proceeds from its disposal, if any, will be credited to the Fleet Equipment Acquisition Fund (Fund 613-35004).
