RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNION CITY APPROVING AMENDMENTS TO THE CITY’S CLASSIFICATION AND
COMPENSATION PLAN FOR UNREPRESENTED CLASSIFICATIONS
IN CONFORMANCE WITH CALIFORNIA CODE OF REGULATIONS,
TITLE 2, SECTION 570.5
WHEREAS, the City contracted with Ralph Anderson and Associates to update the previous salary survey, which was completed in November 2025; and WHEREAS, the City has provided salary equity adjustments for all administrative and service groups in an endeavor to provide the same with the unrepresented group; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has identified in the Strategic Plan Goal B, Governance and Organization Effectiveness, by ensuring salaries are competitive to attract qualified candidates and to retain talented staff; and WHEREAS, the City recommends that the City Council approve the amendments to the Classification and Compensation plan for Unrepresented Classifications.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Union City hereby approves the updates to the City’s Classification and Compensation Plan for Unrepresented Classifications, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit A, effective March 2, 2026.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Union City hereby authorizes the City Manager to take such further actions as may be necessary to implement the updates of the City’s Classification and Compensation Plan.
