PROCLAMATION
Recognizing Participation in the Plan, Prepare,
Respond, Recover Training Program
WHEREAS, emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, and natural disasters can affect local businesses, their employees, and our community; and WHEREAS, being prepared helps protect lives, property, and business operations before, during, and after an emergency; and
WHEREAS, businesses play an important role in emergency readiness by training their staff and planning ahead; and
WHEREAS, the City of Union City, in partnership with the Alameda County Fire Department, offers the Plan, Prepare, Respond, Recover training program to local businesses, including Fire Extinguisher Use, Hands-Only CPR, Abdominal Chest Compressions, and Personal Emergency Preparedness; and
WHEREAS, TriCED Community Recycling participated in this program, with 21 employees completing all three courses; and
WHEREAS, it is fitting to recognize businesses that take active steps to protect their employees and strengthen our community.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, Gary Singh, Mayor of the City of Union City, and on behalf of the entire City Council, do hereby recognize and commend TriCED Community Recycling
for their commitment to emergency preparedness and for helping keep their employees and our community safe.
