RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNION CITY APPROVING THE MAYOR’S APPOINTMENTS OF GABRIEL BORDEN
TO THE BICYCLE PEDESTRIAN ADVISORY COMMITTEE (BPAC) AND
IGNACIO ROMERO TO THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ADVISORY
TEAM (EDAT)
WHEREAS, at its regular meeting held on February 19, 2026, the Planning Commission recommended Gabriel Borden to serve as its representative to the Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC) and Ignacio Romero to serve on the Economic Development Advisory Team (EDAT); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to UCMC Section 2.20.030 and the City’s Commission Guidelines, members of City boards, commissions, and committees are appointed by the Mayor with City Council approval; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor has appointed Gabriel Borden and Ignacio Romero, subject to City Council approval; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Resolution No. 2025-029, new appointments shall commence on January 1 and expire on December 31 of the final year of the term Resolution No. 2025-029.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Union City hereby approves the Mayor’s appointments of:
1. Gabriel Borden as the Planning Commission representative to the Bicycle Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC), for a term expiring December 31, 2029; and
2. Ignacio Romero to the Economic Development Advisory Team (EDAT), for a term expiring December 31, 2029; and
