RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNION CITY RECEIVING THE 2025 GENERAL PLAN ANNUAL PROGRESS
REPORT AND THE 2025 HOUSING ELEMENT ANNUAL PROGRESS
REPORT
WHEREAS, a General Plan Annual Progress Report (“GP APR”) and a Housing Element Annual Progress Report (“HE APR”) were prepared for calendar year 2025, labeled Exhibit A and Exhibit B, respectively, attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference; and
WHEREAS, consistent with California Government Code Section 65400(a)(2), the City is required to prepare and submit the GP APR and HE APR to the Governor’s Office of Land Use and Climate Innovation and the California Department of Housing and Community Development by April 1, 2026; and
WHEREAS, Implementation Program HE-1.K of the Housing Element also requires the preparation of an annual progress report to review progress toward meeting housing needs and implementing the Housing Element objectives, and further requires that the report be presented to the City Council at a public hearing; and WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held before the City Council of the City of Union City on March 24, 2026, to consider the GP APR and HE APR, at which time all interested parties had the opportunity to be heard.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Union City as follows:
Section 1. The City Council hereby receives the 2025 General Plan Annual Progress Report, attached hereto as Exhibit A.
Section 2. The City Council hereby receives the 2025 Housing Element Annual Progress Report, attached hereto as Exhibit B.
Section 3. Staff is authorized and directed to submit the reports to the appropriate state agencies in accordance with applicable law.
