RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO
A CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT, IN A FORM APPROVED BY
THE CITY ATTORNEY, BETWEEN THE CITY OF UNION CITY AND
DAVID L. GATES AND ASSOCIATES, INCORPORATED FOR PARKS
AND LANDSCAPE PLAN CHECK SERVICES FOR THE STATION
EAST PROJECT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $107,982
WHEREAS, the Station East Project was approved in 2021 and then updated in 2023 and 2024 and includes up to 813 dwelling units and up to 29,098 square feet of commercial space located on 26.5 acres bounded by Decoto Road, 7th Street, Bradford Way, and the UPRR Niles Subdivision, comprised of Assessor Parcel Numbers 87-21- 5-2, 87-23-12, 87-21-13-1, 87-21-13-2, 87-23-10, and 87-23-13-2; and WHEREAS, staff is bringing on a consultant, David L. Gates and Associates, Inc., to provide parks and landscape plan check services necessary for the Station East Project; and
WHEREAS, the scope of work, labeled Exhibit A, is attached hereto and made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS, the scope of work budget is not to exceed $107,982 and will be paid by Lennar, the Project developer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes the City Manager to enter into a consulting services agreement, in a form approved by the City Attorney, with David L. Gates and Associates, Inc., to provide parks and landscape plan check services for the Station East Project in an amount not to exceed $107,982.
