RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNION CITY
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE FIRST
AMENDMENT TO THE CONSULTING SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH
DOUGLAS HERRING & ASSOCIATES FOR MITIGATION MONITORING
AND REPORTING AT THE LAZULI LANDING PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council authorized the City Manager to execute the original Consulting Services Agreement with Consultant on December 16, 2025 (City Council Resolution No. 2025-169) (the “Agreement”); and
WHEREAS, additional days required for grading and/or trenching have increased the number of days needed for archaeological monitoring; and WHEREAS, the Parties desire to amend the Agreement to increase the agreement amount from the original not-to-exceed compensation of eighty-two thousand five hundred seventy-three dollars ($82,573) by an additional ninety-nine thousand seven hundred thirteen dollars ($99,713) for a not-to-exceed compensation of one hundred eighty-two thousand two hundred eighty-six dollars ($182,286); and WHEREAS, the Parties desire to extend the Agreement term to December 31, 2027; and
WHEREAS, approval of the First Amendment will allow Douglas Herring & Associates to continue providing mitigation monitoring and reporting services for the Lazuli Landing project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Union City hereby authorizes the City Manager to execute the First Amendment to the Consulting Services Agreement with Douglas Herring & Associates for $99,713 for the extended archaeological monitoring services for the Lazuli Landing project, for a total contract amount not to exceed of $182,286. The First Amendment will also extend the Agreement's term to December 31, 2027.
