RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNION CITY APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CITY’S COMPENSATION PLAN
FOR TRANSIT ANALYST I, AND APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO
THE CITY’S CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN AND
SALARY SCHEDULE IN CONFORMANCE WITH CALIFORNIA CODE
OF REGULATIONS, TITLE 2, SECTION 570.5
WHEREAS, the City has undertaken an inquiry and recommends that the City Council approve an update to the Classification and Compensation Plan to update the Transit Analyst I salary range; and
WHEREAS, City staff has undertaken an analysis of necessary updates to the classification and compensation plan to update the salary range for the classification of Transit Analyst I; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has identified in Strategic Plan Goal B, Governance and Organization Effectiveness, the need to align critical city services with current staffing levels by ensuring the appropriate salary range for the Transit Analyst I classification.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Union City hereby approves the salary range for Transit Analyst I, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference as Exhibit A, effective April 28, 2026; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Union City hereby authorizes the City Manager to take such further actions as may be necessary to implement the update of the salary of the Transit Analyst I.
