CITY Family of Barry Ferrier
california
Dear Family Members,
We are saddened to learn of Barry's passing. On behalf of our Union City family, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones. Barry exemplified the very best of good citizenship. He was deeply engaged in the community and consistently lent his voice to causes and projects he believed would make Union City more responsive to the needs of its residents.

Throughout the years, Barry participated in numerous important committees that helped shape Union City's future. He was an active member of both the Redevelopment Advisory Committee and the Citizen Advisory Committee. He also remained informed and engaged on regional matters, providing input to the Alameda County Transportation Improvement Authority as far back as 2010. Whenever significant projects came before the Planning Commission, Barry could always be counted on to participate thoughtfully and passionately.

As a dedicated member of the Economic Development Advisory Team (EDAT), Barry contributed to the development of the City's first Economic Development Strategic Plan. During the past year, he has been participating in discussions to update the plan - his voice will be missed.

Barry also kept City staff on their toes by sharing updates about economic development activities happening in neighboring cities. For that, we would also like to thank his son for driving him throughout the region and helping him stay actively engaged and informed.

We are grateful for Barry's years of service, advocacy, and commitment to Union City. His contributions helped strengthen our community, and his presence will be greatly missed Sincerely,
Baumally
