3 The Transit Plan
The Short Range Transit Plan (Transit Plan) is Union City Transit’s roadmap for Transit service and capital investment over the next 10 years.
The Transit Plan documents how Union City Transit will spend money based on identified needs and goals. It is updated every three years.
Community outreach helps inform Union City Transit how to improve transit service without relying on new money.

11 Interactive Board
This exercise focuses on
identifying priorities and
trade-offs to guide where
Union City Transit should
prioritize its investments. • On the left, place a blue sticker in one square for
each category. This board
identifies trade-offs (i.e.
expand weekday hours vs.
expand weekend service)
• On the right, place your
stickers in the categories that
Union City Transit should
prioritize. This board
identifies high/medium/low
priorities. (i.e. online
information is a low priority,
trip experience is a high
priority)
