4.1. Review of Draft Economic Development Strategic Plan Economic Development Manager Ortega, Economic Development Coordinator Weddington, along with Dena Belzer and TJ McKiernan of Strategic Economics, June 9, 2026 | 5:00 PM Page 2 of 2

Special Study Session Minutes
presented the Draft Economic Development Strategic Plan. The presentation reviewed the plan vision, goals, market conditions, revenue drivers, implementation, performance measures, and proposed near-term priorities. Staff responded to questions from the City Council.
Following Council discussion, the City Council directed staff to return in July for formal and final approval with a focused presentation on priorities for the next six months. Councilmembers were requested to submit feedback on the draft plan and implementation matrix within two weeks. Staff will provide implementation updates, including market conditions and recommended priority adjustments.
No formal action was taken.
5. ADJOURNMENT
Mayor Singh adjourned the meeting at 6:57 PM.
