RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNION CITY APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO UPDATE THE CITY’S AUTHORIZED
POSITIONS LIST FOR FISCAL YEAR 2026 - 2027
WHEREAS, the City has undertaken an inquiry and recommends that the City Council amend the City’s Authorized Positions List; and WHEREAS, City staff have undertaken an analysis of necessary updates to the Authorized Positions List; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has identified in the Strategic Plan Goal B, Governance and Organization Effectiveness, to align critical city services with current staffing levels by ensuring the accuracy of the City’s Authorized Positions List; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Union City hereby approves the amended Authorized Positions List, attached hereto and incorporated herein as Exhibit A, effective June 23, 2026.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to take such further actions as may be necessary to implement the proposed revisions to the City’s Authorized Positions List.
