PROCLAMATION
Recognizing the James Logan High School Baseball Team
2026 CIF North Coast Section Division 3 Champions
WHEREAS, the James Logan High School Baseball Team has brought great pride to Union City and the New Haven Unified School District by winning the 2026 California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) North Coast Section Division 3 Championship; and WHEREAS, this championship reflects the team’s hard work, skill, discipline, and strong commitment to one another throughout the season; and WHEREAS, the City of Union City proudly recognizes the student-athletes of the James Logan High School Baseball Team: Kamari Robinson, Isaiah Peleseuma, Marcos Jung, Ivan Perez, Marquez Mease, Calvin Aguilar, Rickhai Williams, Emiliano Ramirez, Lester Miranda, Andres Oseguera, Amado Viray Santos, Nickolas Aguilar, Donovan Castro, Mason Yamagata, Westley Vega, Leo Oseguera, Sapphite Puk, Jayden Archuleta, Octavio Gonzalez, Colton Stevens, Isaac Moreno, Nathan Lally, and Caleb DegalaBurnett; and WHEREAS, the team’s success was made possible through the leadership of Head Coach Luis Soto, Assistant Coaches Manny Gomez, Cesar Jimenez, and Mike Leimone, and the support of Principal Ron Polk, Athletic Director Eli Bagaoisan, Athletic Trainer Rocco Perez, Team Photographers Ella Vega and Marco Casas, and Program Coordinators Noma Higgins and Erica Viray Santos; and
WHEREAS, six James Logan Baseball athletes earned Mission Valley Athletic League (MVAL) All-League Recognition, one athlete received MVAL Honorable Mention, and one athlete was named James Logan High School Scholar Athlete of the Year; and WHEREAS, six members of the team were awarded New Haven School Foundation Scholarships, showing that these student-athletes have worked hard not only on the field, but also in the classroom and in the community; and WHEREAS, the James Logan High School Baseball Team has shown the values of teamwork, leadership, sportsmanship, and school pride, serving as a strong example for young people across Union City.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of Union City does hereby recognize and congratulate the James Logan High School Baseball Team for winning the 2026 CIF North Coast Section Division 3 Championship, and extend our best wishes to the players, coaches, staff, families, and supporters for their continued success.
