RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNION CITY AWARDING A CONTRACT TO BAUER COMPRESSORS, INC., IN
THE AMOUNT OF $105,000, FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE
BREATHING AIR COMPRESSOR FOR FIRE STATION 32 AND
APPROVING A BUDGET AMENDMENT
WHEREAS, one (1) breathing air compressor located at Fire Station 32 is due for replacement due to its age and condition; and
WHEREAS, the replacement breathing air compressor is available for purchase from Bauer Compressors, Inc., through a National Cooperative Procurement Partners (NPP.Gov) cooperative purchasing agreement, NPP.Gov Cooperative Contract No.
PS26080, in the amount of $105,000; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified available fund balance in the CFD 2006-1 Fund (Fund 281) to purchase the breathing air compressor; and WHEREAS, staff recommends that $105,000 of the fund balance of the CFD 2006- 1 Fund be transferred to the Fleet Replacement Fund (Fund 613) to facilitate the purchase and maintenance of the fire equipment.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Union City hereby approves the award of a contract to Bauer Compressors Inc. in the amount not to exceed $105,000, for the purchase of a high-pressure breathing air purification compressor identified in Attachment 1 to this Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Manager is authorized to execute an agreement with Bauer Compressors, Inc. in a form approved by the City Attorney and take all actions necessary to effectuate the intent of this Resolution.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council approves a budget amendment to transfer $105,000 of the fund balance of CFD 2006-1 Fund to the Fleet Replacement Fund (Fund 613) and authorizes an appropriation from Fund 613 to facilitate the purchase and maintenance of the fire equipment.
