RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNION CITY ESTABLISHING THE 2027 CALENDAR YEAR CITY COUNCIL
REGULAR MEETING SCHEDULE
WHEREAS, Union City Municipal Code section 2.04.010 requires the City Council to set the day and time of its regular meetings by resolution; and WHEREAS, Union City Municipal Code section 2.04.020 provides that regular meetings shall be held at a location designated by the City; and WHEREAS, on July 28, 2026, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 2026-127 approving the City Council Handbook, which provides for regular meetings generally on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7:00 p.m. and an annual legislative recess encompassing the full month of August unless otherwise determined by a majority vote of the City Council; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to establish its 2027 regular meeting schedule, suspend all regular meetings during the August legislative recess, and not hold the December 28, 2027 regular meeting during the year-end holiday period.

2027 City Council Regular Meeting Schedule
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Union City hereby establishes the 2027 calendar year City Council regular meeting schedule set forth below. Regular meetings shall commence at 7:00 p.m. and shall be held in the City Council Chambers, 34009 Alvarado-Niles Road, or at another location designated by the City and properly noticed. Special meetings may be called in accordance with applicable law.
