RESOLUTION NO. 2026-XXX
RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNION CITY
APPROVING THE NEWLY ESTABLISHED CLASSIFICATIONS OF
REVENUE COORDINATOR AND JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT, APPROVING
A SIDE LETTER WITH OE3 PEG, AND APPROVING AN AMENDMENT
TO THE CITY’S CLASSIFICATION AND COMPENSATION PLAN AND
SALARY SCHEDULE TO INCLUDE THE CLASSIFICATIONS OF
REVENUE COORDINATOR AND JUNIOR ACCOUNTANT IN
CONFORMANCE WITH CALIFORNIA CODE OF REGULATIONS, TITLE
2, SECTION 570.5
WHEREAS, the City has undertaken an inquiry and recommend that the City Council approve the newly established classifications of Revenue Coordinator and Junior Accountant; and
WHEREAS, City staff has undertaken an analysis of necessary updates to the classification and compensation plan to establish the class specification for the classifications of Revenue Coordinator and Junior Accountant; and WHEREAS, the City Council has identified in the Strategic Plan Goal B, Governance and Organization Effectiveness to align critical city services with current staffing levels by ensuring the accuracy and clarity for the classifications of Revenue Coordinator and Junior Accountant; and
WHEREAS, the City has met and conferred with OE3 Professional Employees Group (PEG) and recognizes the classifications of Revenue Coordinator and Junior Accountant as classifications within PEG; and
WHEREAS, a revision to the Classification and Compensation plan and Salary Schedule is required.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Union City hereby approves the establishment of the classifications of Revenue Coordinator and Junior Accountant, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, effective October 13, 2026; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes a revision to the classification and compensation plan to provide the following compensation for the Revenue Coordinator and Junior Accountant classifications:

Establishing Revenue Coordinator and Junior Accountant Classifications and Salary Schedule
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes the City Manager to execute a side letter with PEG to reflect the Revenue Coordinator and Junior Accountant positions as PEG classifications in a form approved by the City Attorney; and BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes the City Manager to take such further actions as may be necessary to implement the class specifications for the classifications of Revenue Coordinator and Junior Accountant.
