RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF UNION CITY
DESIGNATING COUNCILMEMBER JEFF WANG AS VOTING
DELEGATE AND VICE MAYOR JAIME PATIÑO AS ALTERNATE
VOTING DELEGATE FOR THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF CITIES 2026
ANNUAL BUSINESS MEETING ON NOVEMBER 21, 2026, IN
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE
WHEREAS, the National League of Cities (NLC) will hold its 2026 Annual Business Meeting on November 21, 2026, during the City Summit in Nashville, Tennessee; and WHEREAS, each member city designates one voting delegate and may designate one alternate, subject to membership, registration, and in-person attendance requirements; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to designate representatives to vote on behalf of Union City at the 2026 Annual Business Meeting.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Union City designates Councilmember Jeff Wang as voting delegate and Vice Mayor Jaime Patiño as alternate voting delegate for the National League of Cities 2026 Annual Business Meeting on November 21, 2026, in Nashville, Tennessee. The alternate may act in place of the voting delegate if the voting delegate is unable to participate, subject to NLC’s requirements.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is directed to submit the delegate and alternate designations to the National League of Cities.
