1. CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
The special meeting of the Upland City Council was called to order by Mayor Bill Velto at 4:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber of the Upland City Hall.
Brian Taylor, Upland, questioned why the Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Advisory Committee was not reviewing the park funding and project priorities and why the flooring projects in the parks has not been completed. He also questioned the watering schedule for parks.
Natasha Walton, People for Upland Parks, thanked Council for completing some recent upgrades at parks and provided suggestions regarding park improvements and plans. a. DISCUSSION AND DIRECTION ON PARK IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS
FUNDING & PRIORITIES
Assistant City Manager Parker introduced Recreation and Community Services Manager Jessica Gandara who presented the staff report along with a PowerPoint presentation.
Assistant City Manager Parker and Recreation and Community Services Manager Jessica Gandara answered questions posed by the Council regarding available funding, park plans, and projects.
Interim Public Works Director Alanis answered questions posed by the Council regarding the timeline to complete projects and ADA accessibility requirements.
The Council provided a list of project ideas for the parks and each Councilmember used a dot voting system to choose their preferred priorities.
