OF THE CITY OF VACAVILLE
April 4, 2022
This meeting will be conducted consistent with Assembly Bill 361 and Government Code section 54953(e) (contingent upon City Council action) which suspends certain requirements of the Ralph M. Brown Act and provides the use of teleconferencing to make public meetings accessible by phone or computer, and guidance from the California Department of Public Health on gatherings. The Council Chamber will not be open for the meeting. Remote public participation is allowed in the following ways:

Council meetings can be seen live on the City of Vacaville’s website at www.cityofvacaville.com (select the link to view the meeting from the Agendas/ Minutes page), on the City’s YouTube account, or Cable Channel 26. Comments on agenda items can be emailed to the City Clerk up to 3:30 p.m. prior to the meeting by emailing [email protected]. Please include the item number of which you wish to comment. Written comments will be provided to the City Council for consideration before Council action and will be made available to the public for review. Comments received are kept as part of the record of the meeting. 2. PUBLIC HEARING
A.
SELECTION OF FINAL COUNCIL ELECTION DISTRICT BOUNDARY MAP AND INTRODUCTION OF AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VACAVILLE AMENDING SECTION 2.60.020 OF CHAPTER 2.60 OF TITLE 2 OF THE VACAVILLE MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING BY-DISTRICT ELECTIONS, ADJUSTING THE BOUNDARIES OF CITY COUNCIL ELECTION DISTRICTS AND CONFIRMING SUCH REVISED COUNCIL DISTRICT BOUNDARIES, AS REFLECTED IN THE ATTACHED MAP On a motion by Mayor Rowlett, seconded by Councilmember Silva, the Council approved Map Option 1 and introduced the subject ordinance (5-2; Sullivan, Wylie Noes). The City Clerk read the title of the ordinance.

COVID-19 UPDATE; and
CONSIDERATION OF A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VACAVILLE MAKING FINDINGS IN ACCORDANCE WITH AB 361 AND GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 54953(e) RENEWING RESOLUTION NO. 2021-088 AUTHORIZING REMOTE TELECONFERENCE MEETINGS OF THE LEGISLATIVE BODIES, BOARDS, AND COMMISSIONS OF THE CITY OF VACAVILLE Vice Mayor Roberts motioned and Councilmember Sullivan seconded the Council returning to in-person meetings with the inclusion of a trial hybrid meeting. Motion failed, 3-4 (Ritchie, Silva, Stockton, Rowlett Noes).
There being no further business before the Council, the special meeting of April 4, 2022, was adjourned at 5:57 PM.
