5 Service Proposals Evaluated
Local Routes – Eliminate late evening inbound trips and last trip on Sundays SolanoExpress Lines:
Yellow Line – Increase Headways to 90 minutes & eliminate last Sunday loop Green Line – Eliminate late evening trips from FTC to Suisun Amtrak Route 82 – Add early AM & late PM trips; move start/end from VTC to FTC; Eliminate stop at del Norte BART
Blue Line – Eliminate Sacramento & Vaca Valley Pkwy stops; Eliminate Davis stop OR relocate to Mondavi Center;
Reduce service to commute hours only; Reduce Saturday
Service and eliminate unproductive trips.
Proposals presented to public & Partners (Fairfield, Vacaville, Dixon, STA staff & Board, SolTrans PAC)
Over 225 survey responses collected!
6 Survey Results
Local Routes – Few/no objections to eliminating unproductive late evening inbound trips and late evening Sunday trips.
Express Routes:
Yellow Line – some opposition to 90-minute headways
Green Line – No objections to eliminating last Amtrak trips Route 82 – Additional trips & extension to Fairfield very popular; few objections to eliminating del Norte stop
Blue Line – No objections to eliminating Vaca Valley stop & few regarding Sacramento stops; Some objection to eliminating Davis stop & limiting to commute hours, esp. from Vacaville & Dixon; few/no objections to moving Davis stop to Mondavi Center
7 Recommended Changes
Local Routes – Eliminate unproductive late evening inbound trips. Express Routes:
Yellow Line – during unproductive service time in the early morning and late evening decrease service to 90-minute headways, productive service trips will be preserved mid-day
Green Line – Eliminating last Amtrak trips; almost no ridership Route 82 – Add trips, extend to Fairfield, & eliminate del Norte stop to save running time; staff assessing options for moving hours from Green Line Blue Line – Eliminate Sacramento / Vaca Valley stops & move Davis stop to Mondavi Center; Sacramento-bound riders will be able to transfer to Causeway Connect, but costs are prohibitive for SolTrans to continue providing service beyond Davis
