1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: Mayor McConnell, Councilmembers Arriola (left the meeting at 6:15 p.m.), Bregenzer, Loera-Diaz, and Matulac
Absent: Vice Mayor Verder-Aliga and Councilmember Palmares Staff present: City Clerk Abrahamson
3. ACTION CALENDAR
A. CONDUCT APPLICANT INTERVIEWS FOR THE CIVIL SERVICE, HOUSING & COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, PLANNING, AND SISTER CITY
COMMISSIONS, COMMISSION ON CULTURE + ARTS, AND THE DESIGN
REVIEW BOARD
Recommendation: The purpose of this special meeting is to conduct applicant interviews only for appointments to fill vacancies on the Civil Service, Housing & Community Development, Planning and Sister City Commissions, Commission on Culture + Arts, and the Design Review Board. It is anticipated that appointments will be made at the City Council's regular meeting on July 11, 2023

Council conducted interviews for the following applicants:
Planning Commission: Tara Beasley-Stansberry, Chris Platzer, Anthony Taylor, and Kimberly Pelham
Civil Service Commission: Leslie Janik
Commission on Culture + Arts: Sara Anders
Sister City Commission: Norma Placido and Emma del Rosario Design Review Board: Michael Eli
Housing & Community Development Commission: S. Bre Jackson, Tonia Lediju and Jose (Joey) Carrizales
