SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
JANUARY 21, 2026
COUNCIL CHAMBERS

1. CALL TO ORDER
The meeting was called to order at 5:21 p.m.
2. ROLL CALL
Present: Mayor Sorce, Vice Mayor Matulac, Councilmembers Bregenzer, Gordon, Lediju, Matias (arrived at 5:24 p.m.), and Palmares
Absent: None
Staff present: City Attorney Nebb and Chief Assistant City Attorney Risner
Vice Mayor Matulac and Mayor Sorce on behalf of Councilmember Lediju announced that they are invoking the provisions of Section 54953.8.3 of the Ralph M. Brown Act (“Just Cause Provision”), Provision 4—travel while on official business of the City Council—while attending the League of California and are participating remotely.
The Council convened into Closed Session in the Council Conference Room with Vice Mayor Matulac and Councilmember Lediju participating remotely at 5:25 p.m.
3. CLOSED SESSION

The Council reconvened into open session in the Council Chambers. Chief Assistant City Attorney Risner reported Council provided direction to staff and there is no further action to report.
4. ADJOURNMENT
The meeting adjourned at 6:48 p.m.
