• Attended Housing Conference on Thursday and took the legislation and policy session to learn about streamlining housing and found it very informative. • Shared that SCAG was also present at the conference.
CITY MANAGER COMMUNICATIONS
City Manager Alex McIntyre provided the following update:
• VenturaWaterPure meeting with Port Commissioners on Wednesday, October 19, at the Ventura Port District.
• General Plan - Tuesday, October 18, from 6- 8:30 p.m. - Public invited to learn about local water sources. and future supply solutions from Ventura Water at the next GPAC meeting, hosted in-person and virtually in Council Chambers at City Hall. • Reminder to take the Land Use Alternatives Survey, which closes at end of October • Will provide a cannabis update later next week.

Path Forward on Solvency for the Street Lighting District 36 Staff: Phillip Nelson, Public Works Director
RECOMMENDATION
Direct staff to investigate the potential purchase of the Southern California Edison operated and maintained streetlights and report back to City Council after putting together an accurate inventory of lights, current assessment of their value, and potential methods for funding their purchase .
