Background
The Police Department’s (PD) Police Officer and Employee of the Year awards are awarded annually to one police officer and one professional staff member who embody a high moral character and demonstrate exemplary performance in all areas.
Recipients of the Police Officer and Employee of the Year awards are nominated by their peers and selected by a committee of sworn and professional employees.
PD is proud to announce and congratulate 2023 Officer of the Year Award recipient, Officer Teresa Flores, and Employee of the Year Award recipient, Lead Dispatcher Cerissa Diaz.
