AMENDMENT NO. 1 TO THE SERVICES AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF VERNON AND JEMMOTT ROLLINS GROUP, INC. FOR SUPPORT SERVICES FOR
VERNON COMMUNITY FUND GRANT ACTIVITIES
This Amendment No. 1 (Amendment) to the Agreement for support services for Vernon CommUNITY Fund grant activities dated August 15, 2023, (Agreement), is made as of August 6, 2024, by and between the City of Vernon, a California charter City and California municipal corporation (City), and Jemmott Rollins Group, Inc., (Contractor), a California corporation.
The City and Contractor agree as follows:
RECITALS
A. The City and Contractor are parties to a written Agreement dated August 15, 2023, under which Contractor provides support services for Vernon CommUNITY Fund grant activities.
B. The City and Contractor desire to amend the Agreement to include scope of services for the production of a Vernon CommUNITY Fund anniversary promotional publication increasing the Contractor's compensation by an amount not to exceed $25,000. A copy of the correspondence dated June 3, 2024 provided by Contractor is attached hereto as Exhibit A.
NOW, THEREFORE, the parties to this Amendment agree as follows:
1. Effective as of August 6, 2024, the Agreement has been amended to include the scope of services attached to this Amendment as Exhibit A.
Contractor's grand total consideration from August 15, 2023 to August 14, 2026, shall not exceed the amount of $223,000 without prior City Council approval and written amendment of the Agreement.
Except as expressly moditied by this Amendment, all provisions of the Agreement shall remain in full force and effect.
4. The provisions of this Amendment shall constitute the entire agreement of the parties with respect to the subject matter included in this Amendment and shall supersede any other agreement, understanding, or arrangement, whether written or oral, between the parties with respect to the subject matter of this Amendment.
5. The person or persons executing this Amendment on behalf of each of the parties warrants and represents that he or she has the authority to execute this Amendment on behalf of that party and has the authority to bind that party to the performance of its obligations hereunder.

Along with data collection and statistical analysis, JRG will conduct grantee surveys to better gauge the community impact around the usage of VCF funding.
The level of evaluation required for this summative report necessitates assistance from a professional data analyst and graphic designer to provide a high-quality forward-facing product. In the proposed report, grant funding will be assessed in several social service areas from homelessness/transitional housing to health/wellness and youth development. The data analyst will work with raw data provided by the city of Vernon as well as JRG to accurately develop the impact narrative.
