A PROCLAMATION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
VERNON COMMENDING ARMANDO HINOJOS FOR HIS MANY YEARS OF
SERVICE TO THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, Armando Hinojos, has been a dedicated employee of the City of Vernon for over thirty years and faithfully performed his duties as a public servant since being hired on October 16, 1994; and WHEREAS, Armando meets the eligibility requirements under CaIPERS to retire from the City of Vernon effective December 30, 2024, as a Utilities Dispatcher; and WHEREAS, during the course of his employment with the City of Vernon, Armando has held various positions in the Public Utilities Department including Utility Man, Utility Man IV, Systems Coordinator I, Systems Coordinator II, and Utilities Dispatcher; and
WHEREAS, Armando has played a vital role in system reliability, sustained continuity of service, outage restoration, and customer service over the course of his distinguished tenure; and WHEREAS, the City and Vernon Public Utilities commend and thank Mr. Hinojos for his dedication and longevity in the care and support of utility systems that underlie the safety and economy of the Vernon Community.
WHEREAS, during his long and distinguished career in public service, Armando has earned the deepest respect of his colleagues through his dedication, contributions, and knowledgeable expertise and commitment to the Public Utilities Department; and
WHEREAS, we congratulate and express our appreciation to Armando for his commendable service to the City of Vernon and wish Armando good health upon his retirement and for continued success in life's pursuits.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ON BEHALF OF ITS
EMPLOYEES, RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES HEREBY COMMEND AND THANK ARMANDO HINOJOS FOR HIS YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY. THIS PROCLAMATION IS BEING PRESENTED TO ARMANDO HINOJOS BY THE HONORABLE MAYOR JUDITH MERLO FOR AND ON BEHALF OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON THIS 21ST DAY OF JANUARY TWO THOUSAND AND TWENTY-FIVE.
