A PROCLAMATION OF THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL
COMMENDING NORMA T. RODRIGUEZ FOR HER MANY YEARS OF SERVICE
TO THE CITY OF VERNON
WHEREAS, Norma T. Rodriguez, has been a dedicated employee of the City of Vernon for over twenty-three years and faithfully performed her duties as a public servant since being hired on January 14, 2002; and
WHEREAS, Norma T. Rodriguez met the eligibility requirements under CaPERS to retire from the City of Vernon effective December 17, 2025, as a Police Dispatcher; and WHEREAS, during her employment with the City of Vernon, Norma T. Rodriguez has served the community as a Police Dispatcher, providing critical communication support to police officers, emergency personnel, and the public; and
WHEREAS, Norma T. Rodriguez has continued her education and training throughout her career, receiving 434 training hours, including the Golden West College Public Safety Dispatch Course, Crisis Negotiations, Terrorism Awareness, Human Trafficking, Tactical Communication, a Dispatcher's Role in Active Shooter and Mass Casualty Incidents, and Strategic Communications; and WHEREAS, through her dedication, professionalism, and commitment to public safety, Norma T.
Rodriguez earned the respect of her colleagues and contributed significantly to the effective operations of the Vernon Police Department; and
WHEREAS, we congratulate and express our sincere appreciation to Norma T. Rodriguez for her commendable service to the City of Vernon and wish her good health upon her retirement and continued success in life's pursuits.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VERNON, ON BEHALF OF ITS EMPLOYEES, RESIDENTS AND BUSINESSES HEREBY COMMEND AND THANK NORMA T. RODRIGUEL FOR HER YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY. THIS PROCLAMATION IS BEING PRESENTED TO NORMA RODRIGUEZ BY
