City Council Strategic Planning Workshop
Recommendation
Provide direction to staff regarding the City Council’s strategic priorities.
Background
The City of Vernon is undergoing a Strategic Planning Process to shape the City’s future. The Strategic Plan will provide a clear framework to guide the City’s decision-making and resource allocation, aligning goals and objectives with community needs and City Council priorities. To that end, in February 2026, the City’s consultant held a series of workshops that provided an opportunity for public input. At a Special Meeting on March 3, 2026, the City Council will hold a Strategic Planning and Goal Setting Workshop to refine the City Council’s strategic priorities based on the feedback received from staff and the Vernon community.
