Background
The City has Commissions and a Committee, established by the City Charter, Ordinance, or Resolution, that advise the Council on policy matters or review specific issues and carry out assignments as requested by the City Council, or prescribed by law.
The following Commission and Committee Members have provided invaluable service to the City:
• Thomas Condon, Business and Industry Commission - July 21, 2020, to June 30, 2026 • Hector Morfin, Business and Industry Commission – June 7, 2022, to June 30, 2026 • Navdeep (Duncan) Sachdeva, Business and Industry Commission – August 7, 2018, through June 30, 2026
• Jackelyne (Jacquie) Cabrera, Green Vernon Commission – August 5, 2025 – June 30, 2026
• Sebastian Lozano, Vernon CommUNITY Fund Grant Committee – March 4, 2025, to June 30, 2026
• Leticia Lopez, Vernon Housing Commission – June 7, 2016, to May 5, 2026 Each member will be honored for their contributions and service with a Certificate of Recognition.
