Background
At the Regular City Council Meeting on August 18, 2026, the City Council opened the public hearing and subsequently tabled the adoption of Resolution No. 2026-038 regarding approval of a Conditional Use Permit (CUP) for Dyrt Labs, Inc. to operate an indoor food waste composting facility at 2550 27th Street.
The continued public hearing was set for consideration at the September 15, 2026, Regular City Council Meeting pending additional information requested by Council. To date, staff have not yet received the requested supplemental materials and documentation from the applicant.
Accordingly, staff recommends that the City Council again continue the public hearing to the Regular City Council Meeting on October 20, 2026, to allow additional time for the applicant to provide requested information and for staff to review the information prior to resuming Council discussion.
