Hello my name is Magdalana Castro,

the reason I am reaching out to you today in regards to the gas station that is on Mojave which is in close proximity to my residence at , Victorville.

This project is needed in our community since currently gas prices are extremely high and this would create competition which would result in more affordable gas for all of the community members. This is important because it would keep the cost of living here low, a major reason I relocated here and became a resident of Victorville. I support this project.

Good morning
To: city officials
my name is
Muhammad Nadeem,
I live over at Victorville I support this project since this project will give us more choices in todays age
costs are only rising with inflation and the last problem, we need is to take competition away from our beloved city that would look much improved with the additional landscaping and a clean station built on the corner of Mojave rather than just another empty lot.

To the city of Victorville,
I, Gislena Gonzalez, am writing to you today because I am in support of the new gas station that is supposed to be built on the corner of Mojave and Amargosa.

I live in Victorville at Victorville and have watched this city thrive and become what it is today. It is my duty as a member of this community to tell you that the proposed appeal is a healthy way for Victorville to continue to grow and develop. That corner has been empty for years and has been an eye sore to many of us. The development of a gas station would be greatly beneficial to all of us here and the kids since they would have a safe place to walk to after school.

Sincerely,

--

I am writing to object to the proposed rezoning of parcel 3106-181-01 From R-1 to C-! and the construction of the proposed fuel/convenience store with car wash w?o environmental impact considerations.

Please understand there are five fuel stations, eight stores that sell liquor and three car wash facilities within one mile of this site. The parcel is directly in the path of a major watershed route. Mojave Dr. and Amargosa Rd. is one of the busiest intersections in Victorville at 3:30pm and 5:39pm everyday. Finally, the Victorville Transit and Victor Valley school district bus routes both exit and enter Amargosa Rd at Del Norte Dr. 180 feet south of the R-1 parcel mentioned.

These reasons alone should be enough to deny the appeal.

I hope to attend Tuesday's meeting if at all possible to further explain these considerations.

Sincerely
Richard Allison

Hello.

I plan to attend the City Council meeting to oppose this project.

It was rejected by the Planning Commission with a 4 to 1 vote.

I am opposed to any Environmental Exemption. Please explain the reason for seeking this exemption.

Please explain about the City Initiative Area, for residential zoning only, between El Evado and Village Drive. (I was sorry to see that was not mentioned in either notice from the city.)

Thank you.

Hello.

For the written record:

My address is .

I am strongly opposed to Plan21-00038.

I am opposed to any Environmental Exemption.

I learned at the April 13, 2022 Planning Commission meeting from Mr. Webb, that this area is part of a City Initiative Area between El Evado and Village Drive that froze zoning as residential here.
(This was not mentioned in either city notification mailed to affected residents...) Our street is mis- identified as Arlette on the City Notification Map. The new BEYOND station is missing, and not indicated in any way on your map as well.

I have concerns about Safe Passage under California Education Code, as several schools have bus traffic through that busy intersection.

There is a new, not yet open, BEYOND fuel station and convenience store on the north west corner of Mojave and Amargosa.

A new Circle K and Rocket Cevron opened within a mile of this location.

Another station may come to Mojave at El Evado...

Those should be enough, as noted by Commissioner Kim Meson during their meeting.

The Planning Commission voted 4 to 1 against this project.

My neighbors and I thank them.

I support the California Environmental Quality Act. I expect it to withstand this current challenge.

Thank you,
Clayton Moore
