SPECIAL MEETING
PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to Government Code §54956, the City Council of the City of Victorville and the City Council sitting as the Library Board of Trustees / Southern California Logistics Rail Authority / Southern California Logistics Airport Authority / Successor Agency to the Victorville Redevelopment Agency / Victorville Joint Powers Financing Authority / Victorville Water District and The City Housing Assets Successor has called a special meeting to discuss the following:
Agenda:
1. November 8, 2022, General Municipal Election Results Recommendation:
That the City Council adopt Resolution No. 22-123 declaring the results of the November 8, 2022, General Municipal Election.
2. Administer the Oath of Office to the following Newly Elected Council Members:
Debra Jones - District 2
Robert "Bob" Harriman - District 4
3. Remarks of Newly Elected Council Members
4. Appointment of Mayor and Mayor Pro Tem
Recommendation:
That Your Honorable City Council
1. Direct the City Clerk to open nominations for the office of Mayor, take nominations, announce the outcome of the vote and declare the appointment upon a majority vote of the Council;
2. The newly appointed Mayor shall preside over the process for the office of Mayor Pro Tem, unless he/she prefers the City Clerk to facilitate the appointment; and
3. Open nominations for the office of Mayor Pro Tem, take nominations, and have the City Clerk announce the outcome of the vote and declare the appointment upon a majority vote of the Council.
